Almost half of the area of Voivodeship is covered by forests, that's why it is one of the most ecological places in the country. In the territory of Voivodeship are situated Beshadian and Magurian national park, 10 landscape parks. The territory of Beschadian park is crossed by more than 130 tracking routes. Subcarpathian Voivodeship is first of all touristic Mekka in Poland. In its area there are few industrial objects that's why nature didn't suffer a lot from human influence. Here come people who are looking for silence and loneliness. In subcarpathian Voivodeship you will meet the culture of Lemki - ancient population which used to live from both sides of Carpathian mountains and unfortunately was extinguished after war, but you can find several traces of their culture in local architecture, clothes and cuisine. The administrative center of the province is the city of Rzeszow. The city is located on the banks of river Vislok. Rzeszow is an old city whose foundation dates to the 14th century. The architecture of downtown is represented by the buildings of XIX -XX in classicism, modern and neo gothic style. The main bulevar in the city is Bulevar of 3d May, its oldest and the most representative street in the city. Nowadays the street is pedestrian. The DownTown of the city is full of small colorful houses which resemble ginger bread covered with multi color glaze.  In the last years the city made a big advance and converted from Polish province to the most dynamically developing Polish cities.The modern industry, high comfort of life, one of the highest incomes per capita in the country and for sure a highly developed tourist sector.  Every visitor to Rzeszow will notice the surgrpigness amount of young people. In contrast with other European cities which become older and older with every year Rzeszow seems to bloom and  become younger with every day. The reason is the wide choice of different educational centers. More than 60 thousand young people study here. That's why Rzeszow doesn't look like a provincial city but as dynamic and charged with positive energy. The quantity of young people encourages the city administration to organize different cultural events. No doubt it is a perfect city to connect your life with and rent or buy real estate in Rzeszow it is a very good choice.

Due to the fact that Rzeszow is full of students and also has a developed industrial facility the flats for rent and sale in Rzeszow are high enough speaking about quite a small city. Transport

The center of the Subcarpathian region, the city of Rzeszow many years ago became one of the important transport points in the East of Poland. An important role belongs to the international airport - Rzeszow Jasenko. Nowadays the airport collaborates with 3 airlines which connect the region with 13 cities in 8 countries of Europe. The airport is located 12 kilometers from the city center of Rzeszow. You can get to the airport by car, public bus (line 51) or taxi. The trip will take about 30 minutes. The region is connected with other parts of the country and with neighboring country Ukraine with a comfortable and fast railway. inside the city you can use public buses. All bus stops in the city have digital screens which inform you about the schedule and itinerary of bus lines. The public transport starts circulating at 05.00 am and stops working at 23.00 pm. 

Attractions

Subcarpathian Voivodeship is the most south-east region of Poland. Its main attraction is mountainous areas ,one of the famous ones is Besczady. Also is very interesting its multicultural past whose traces we can find in contemporary Poland. The capital of the region Rzeszow is the city where history and contemporary life meet. It is located on the banks of river Wislok. Its name comes from slavic word rzesza, which means “many people”. Now Rzeszow has around 180 thousand people and is the perfect city for walking tours because all its sightseeing are located very compactly. Middle Age  architecture, old catacombs and cultural welneth in amazing ways combine with interesting nowaday life. The emblematic place in the city is Market Square (Płoszcza Rynek) - the place where you can see city hall and watch different concerts. Other interesting places in the city are the Old Synagogue, Cathedral of Saint Wojteh, the Castle of Rzeszow which is considered one of the main attractions of the city. For sure you can not lose visiting local pubs and restaurants to enjoy tasty cuisine and to feel the spirit of local people. 

 

If you would like to come back to childhood or just to organize an interesting surprise for your children you should visit the Museum of evening tales (Muzeum Dobranocek). Dobranocki - are short programs for kids which were shown by public TV channels many years ago, and children can get to know the favorite tv personage of their parents.  

 

Special attention attracts a big and original sculpture in the city center - “Transition 2001” of Joseph Shain - the rectangular cut out human silhouette inside. It symbolizes the transition from the times when the main humanistic values were ignored to the times of respect to human dignity.  

 

Among cultural events we can emphasize the biggest Festival of dancing and singing Polonia, it means Polish diaspora. The worldwide festival started in 1969 and continue take place once every three year, becoming a place of meeting of numerous Polish artist who live abroad.
