The area of the region has not only sea resorts but also an attractive nature with tematic parks and interesting history with castles, fortresses, vikings villages and the highest pharo in the whole Baltic coast. The capital Szczecin is not bathed by the sea but anyway it has enough beach areas and places to have a trip by boat. All this is possible thanks to river Oder which crosses the city. Also the capital has big reservoirs and lakes Glemboke, Dzewoklic and Medwe. The capital of Western Pomeranian is associated with the city of greenery. It's totally logical because Szczecin has 15 parks, 90 squares and urban forests. The biggest park is Kasprowich’s.  But Szczecin is not only a beautiful city with a lot of tourist attractions but also an economically developed place. It's quite easy to find a job for any professional here. Here you can find a lot of industrial companies which need specialists in different areas. A lot of jobs in the tourism field, it's not very difficult to find a job in local restaurants, hotels or tourist centers. There are a lot of beauty salons in the city, which always require different beauty specialists. Szczecin is a city with active construction and yath production, that's why one of the most demanded professions is  constructor.

In Spite of its attractiveness Szczecin is not a very popular place for national and international inmigration, that is why you can find a lot of options to rent or buy an apartment in Szczecin. If you want to live in the heart of the city you can find a lot of small studios for reasonable prices. It's quite popular to buy a house in Szczecin, there are a lot of modern houses for sale in Szczecin. Western Pomeranian Voivodeship has its own international airport - Szczecin Goleniow. It has several low cost flights, mostly to Great Britain. To get to the airport you can use a train (the train terminal is close to the airport), bus or taxi. The trip will take you approximately 40 minutes. Inside the city you can move by tram or bus. Tickets as in other cities you can get in machines and later validate it inside or just use the application SkyCash where you can buy tickets for 15, 45minutes and more time. For sure, like in many Polish cities, in Szczecin local people use a lot of ecological means of transportation - bicycles.

The capital of the region Szczecin has its own touristic route, which includes a castle of Pomeranian princes, Cathedral of Saint Yacub, king and port gates and Szczecin Castle, where Russian Imperatrice Kateryna the Great was born. This castle belongs to the biggest fortifications in the Pomeranian Principle. If you want to have an amazing view to the city, you need to go to the Castle of Saint Jan, it has the highest tower in the city. The most popular place in Szczecin  for walking is the seafront promenade. During the walk you can enjoy not only sea view but also different architectural monuments and park zones. The most emblematic architectural object in the city is Red Central Hall. It is a monumental building in neo gothic style. The new city hall was built in 1879. The building has original and impacting facade decoration. City hall has two  and a lot of windows in different shapes. The balconies give a building a specific charm. One more interesting architectural monument is Loits house, it was built in the first part of 16 century for the rich local banker - Loits. The building is in old gothic style and also has a very original facade and in front of it you can see a small square decorated with a monument. 

Szczecin is considered a typical Polish city  where visitors can taste the most popular local dishes. The local cuisine is considered simple and conservative, the local people continue preferring traditional dishes.

Apart from the capital Western Pomeranian Voivodeship offers to its visitors a lot of other interesting places. One of these places are villages of Vikings. In the ancient times the area of the province was used by Vikings for their crusades to eastern Europe. The traces of their stay in these regions now are actively used with tourist aims. For example, in the Island Volin were reproduced villages which included 27 middle ages Vikings houses. Sometimes on this Islands Viking festivals and fairs take place. One more attraction is for sure the sea coast. 185 kilometers of sea coast have in their area a lot of resorts for unforgettable holidays. And if you are tired of the beach you can visit the highest faros in Poland. It is open for visitors, its height is 64,5 meters and its light reaches a distance of 46,5 km. Western Pomeranian Voivodeship will be interesting also for people who like art and beauty. In the city Cemecin you can find a palace where an interactive barroco museum is located. There you can see how a lot of years ago people were preparing for dance evenings, what they ate during this event, how they spent their free time in salons and what pieces of art were exhibited in the houses of the rich people. In the city Dobrynich annually  a cooking festival of edible flowers takes place. In this festival you can taste dishes elaborated from lavanda, rose, fuxia, etc. Fans of the history of war can discover for themselves the fortification system of the “pomeranian wall”. It includes German fortification constractions and bunkers constructed during the Second World War. In general, different parts of the region offer multiple and diverse attractions for any taste, so Western Pomeranian region is good for tourist visit or long stay.
