Transport

The quickest way to Gran Canaria is by plane, however, in most cases, you have to make a change in Tenerife - another island of the Canary archipelago. It can be reached both from any city in Spain, and from Moscow. An inland flight will require 20 minutes and about 100 euros for a round trip.
 

An alternative way to air transport can be water - represented by a ferry. This high-speed vessel can carry not only passengers, but also cars, so, theoretically, you can go to the island with your car. A ferry makes about 8 trips a day and the travel time is about 70 minutes. A one-way ticket costs about 35 euros.
 

Once on the island, you can rent a car or take the bus, the ticket price is between 3 and 6 euros depending on the route. Bus number 60 goes to the capital, starting from 6 am to 23 in the evening every 30 min. To Maspalomas you can get by bus number 66, and to the Playa del Cura – by number 91.
 

It is also possible to get to the place of residence by taxi, which calculates price with a counter. The cost of 1 km is about 3euro. The price at night and weekends increases.

Attractions

The main place where all the tourists go is obviously the beach. You can not only enjoy the warm waters and fine golden sand, but also have fun on the water attractions.
 

Fans of excursions should definitely visit the Botanical Garden. Excellent kart track can be found not far from the village of Bahia Feliz, its length of almost 1650 meters. If you want to get a dose of adrenaline, make sure to visit the Aero Club Aeroclub de Gran Canaria, where tourists can take a walk on the helicopter, a parachute jump or paragliding.
 

Xtreeemz stands out among the famous nightclubs where often take place theme parties. Numerous bars and restaurants serve excellent dishes that are worth a try even by true gourmets. On the island are common open-air markets where you can buy handmade crafts and all kinds of souvenirs.
